Seven Day Henckels set
Snagged this the other week and it finally made it here. Quick clean up with a bit of polish and elbow grease. Could still use some work, but could be honed up as is and be a damn fine set.
The Friday razor has a good chunk taken out of the scale at the hinge pin, and two razors have a touch of etching from light rust. Pretty good shape overall. Original scales, pins are snug, razors almost feel like all they need is a refresh and they would be ready to go. All in all pretty pleased. The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

WOW, that's awesome! I took a chance on getting the box I needed for my Cattaraugus Green Lizard 7 day set but at the same time, someone had a Cattaraugus 7 day set with a bin or best offer but someone paid full price for it & it was the same exact type of box. BTW, the person that had that cheesy unmatched Green Lizard 7 day set has listed it again for such an outrageous price..................almost $1500 bin!!!!!!!!
Your set is beautiful even though I don't think they are ivory scales because of the thickness but you just might get lucky enough to find the same color match scale material in a faux ivory & make some scales for the broken one.....................or you could just leave it if it is good enough. I love it!!!!

Well done mate that's a great set you've got there.
I'd just give them a light touch & start using them.
Cheers Paul

Thanked: 4828What a nice score. I hope you can find an old scale to replace the broken side with. They are my favorite brand. I hope they were a stellar deal. That would be two things I love in one package.

I do love hunting for good deals, almost 1/2 the fun for me. I do think I will keep my eye out for another set of scales to swap out, but no hurry.
Engine46: I saw that set you are talking about. That seller has been trying to sell it for quite awhile. Glad nobody has actually bought it, what a waste of money. The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.
