One morer for the box.
Don't know when I will get it but it's something to play with and work on. It said it was a 6/8 from the photo it looks like not much wear just a few dark spots. hope it cleans up ok.

That'll clean up nicely. Can't make out the stamp in the picture. Who made it?

Looks like a 66. Definitely an oldie. Love those older Henckels!

I rest my case.

I have a couple of Henckels, very high quality great shaving German razors. They seem to take just a tad bit more honing than some razors but well worth it when you finally get them right. I sold one a while back but plan on keeping the ones I currently have.

Thanked: 4829You know how I feel about Henckels. This makes me quite envious.

Well it finelly came in today and i was quite surprised. the scales were in very good shape and only took a little buffing to come to a good shine. the blade had a little oxidation and it cleaned up nicely. haven't honed or shaved with it yet but will try to hone in a few days. i really do like these no shoulder razors. there easier to hone.

Thanked: 4829You certainly never need to worry about a heel hook or to reduce the heel

Well i got the hones down yesterday and went to work. I went through the process of 1-3-5-8-12K naniwa and then finished on the Suehiro 20K. Stropped about 50 or 60 laps and took my shower and then shaved. The razor shave ok but not what i expected so i got to thinking it was a new to me razor so the problem might just be me. tonight i got ready and stropped again and then shower and shave. this time i paid more attenion to the angle and pressure. To make a long story short (too late) It did as expected. after all it is a Henckel.
