This is great. I saw this thread earlier today and I just had to tell him how much people were appreciating his work. I sent him a link to this place and now he's here. I think that the idea is awesome and I think that is great that we can give more business to small business owners.

I'm interested in your product as well. I'd suggest you make the handle on the lid wide enough to act as a stable base for the lid to stand on with a brush in it. Wide and flat with a sharp groove where it meets the lid would allow it to be gripped or cupped in the hand and then set aside without lying on its side. It's almost there now.

Thanked: 56Hi Patrick,
I think you'll find that demand will exceed 6-12 by the end of November. Probably by the end of September. There are plenty of people willing to test prototypes.

Please bear in mind that you can't do business etc on the open forum. We have a vendors corner and an eBay thread for this purpose.
I don't want to sound like a grump but you will get pulled up for it.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Need to get Patrick set up in the vendor's corner. I'm sure many of us will be interested in his shave bowl.
Smarter than I look or, not as dumb as I look. Whichever you prefer.

I love the color and design of the one pictured! It's a piece of functional art! People have suggested some logical improvements like ridges or dots in lid to aid lather production.
Look forward to seeing your changes and ideas pvita1961 and would love to have one displayed and used in my shave den!

You might also consider making the soap holder deeper so it will be less messy when you load your brush, though I am not sure how that would affect the lathering bowl.
Personally my ideal lather bowl is about 2 inches deep and 4 to 5 inches across. If there is a slight lip around the inside then it helps to keep the lather in the bowl.
Like my first post not a criticism but a suggestion.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
