    Default Jonathan Crookes FBU

Well, after some thought, I decided to finish the blade I bought for cheap over a year ago. At first I was going to polish it up but I do like to make things like they originally were if I can & since this one, the pistol is very faint, I decided to leave it like it is & to put it in some old scales which I did. I used a set of W&B FBU scales that the blade wasn't so good & I got it for about $30. Here it is, completed & freshly honed ready for a good shave! BTW, it is a tad above 13/16 but just below 7/8.

Fits the FBU scales quite well Steve.
Nice work with a gentle touch.
    Cheers.

Wow! Beautiful job...the stamp came out excellently...I think that's the only Crookes big chopper like that I've ever seen. I've seen lots of smaller ones, I have a shoulderless one of his, but your one here is magnificent.

That's a real centerpiece for your collection and a definite keeper in my books!

    Congrats on that one!

Looks great, Steve! Those W&B scales have a sweet shape. Nothing else quite like them (unless copied).

Nice job Steve. The blade finish and scales honor the tradition of wet shaving perfectly.

Than's guys. I prefer to keep thing aged unless I have to make scales or something. Then I might leave it like I did the old W Greaves that time or polish up a blade also along with a nice wedge.
