    Default What to do on a long holiday weekend?

    So what to do on a long holiday weekend when you have not received the material you have ordered for a restore?

    How about a lil sanding;

    A tiny bit of sanding:

    To THIS:
    Lost a bit of the blade length...
    There was a crack that developed with sanding.

    Everything looks good, and you did a fantastic job, but are you sure those scales should remain on the beautiful blade you just restored? To me, it looks as though all that rust was caused by off gasing witch means they'll only continue to off gas. Maybe I'm wrong...

    Seems like a lot of trouble for a handicapped duckling.

    Yeah like I said I was bored.
    I have another blade, just wanted to see if I could get this one looking good again. You don't see many Satinbaby razors out there.
    I thought I'd I could at least partially save it, it was a success!

    Nice save Ed! I love seeing the people at SRP that will put in the time to save unique razors.
    Can't imagine the amount of sanding it took to clean that up but the end results were worth it!
