Default Good Day At The Antique Store.

    Hey Guys,,
There is a small antique store down the street I usually stop in once a month. The last 4 times I came up dry. Today we stopped in & there were a few goodies cheap,,,,,

    A Schick SE Razor Type E2 (I believe) 1935 to 1945

A Barbicide jar & 2 Old Spice mugs,,,,,,,,,,,,

    A Gillette DE Comb ,,,,,,,,

The Gillette had a small hair line crack in the handle. I actually used a magnifier on it before I bought it & commented to the old lady, " Wow,, a nice one with no crack!". I got home , cleaned all the dirt & crud off it & there was the small crack.

Nice finds. I picked up an Old Spice mug about a month ago. At the same antique store they had the same Gillette model you have pictured but it had a rather large crack in the handle.

Seeing your Avon bottles in the background...last week I saw a Williams Aqua Velva bait casting reel aftershave bottle, in box w/lures. Kind of funny but my shaving funds are reserved for honing gear for the next several months.

It's always fun stopping by antique stores, I can't help myself... I went to an antique gathering today and they had just sold their straight razors but I scored a couple of really sweet 30s era pocket knives

I bought 2 plastic crates of Old Spice After Shave bottles along with about 15 Old Spice mugs a little over a year ago for $30 from a guy on Craigslist & he was less than 5 miles from me. There was also a couple of large Old Spice bottles, a lantern decantur, a ships telescope, a couple of light houses, a ships telegraph decantur which was about 3/4 full & a ships bell full. I just looked & there's even more............

Here are my finds: nice bone covers, good snap on all blades!

Just as with razors, it's hard to determine any more than an age range. However, the maker of these is Dwight Divine and Sons so they are earlier than 1941

You did good. Wish I could some jewels like those every now and then. About all I see anymore is "pinche basura" that folks want WAY too much for simply because they think "it's old therefore IT'S REALLY VALUABLE. :\
