I won the Boker Red Injun No.101 in an auction. It was treated wonderfully. It was honed so I didn't need to break out the stones. I also won the 6/8 TI black horn in an auction. I put a low bid and forgot about it. I never thought I'd get it for as low as I did. It was listed as used but I'm pretty sure it was brand new. Someone bought it and had second thoughts. Both are great blades with their own personalities.

Never owned a TI but from what I've heard and read they are high quality razors. I have owned several and still own a few Bokers and can say they are very hard to beat as in they take a good edge, give a very clean buttery smooth shave and never met one I didn't like. Enjoy!

The Boker was super sharp. It's my first square point. Needless to say, I wasn't used to the tip and had a few scrapes. The TI is next in line for shave day. I'm excited to try it. It's supposed to be a singing blade but it feels too solid and has no sound to it. It's still very sharp.

I prefer square points now but I've been at it a few years. When I first started almost every time I used a square point I ended up with pink lather, mostly in the neck area....that's not good! I even nicked my ears a few times, that hurts! Just be aware of where the point is at all times, concentrate on what you are doing, take your time and soon they may become you favorite points too.

Nice snag, good luck and enjoy your str8 razor journey!
