Hi John, that's a nice example of an aqua green Pinaud bottle that (more than likely) held Lilac Vegetal.
The top and cap would have been zinc alloy and has long since corroded away.
Impossible to find separately but still available with some vintage bottles for sale.
Your bottle would have looked like the advert on the left and the cap would have been
the same as the middle pic.
Until we have easy access to 3-D printers, we'll have to use good old fashioned corks
like the right-hand pic.

John, I forgot to mention, don't throw away the plastic bottle until you have
photocopied the label in colour (and black 'n' white too) as it does look good on glass.
OR....
Cut off the neck of the plastic bottle, down to the shoulder to save the thread and cap.
If you want to remove the label, rinse out the bottle and fill with water.
Stick in the microwave and "nuke" (800W) for 10 seconds at a time until the label can be peeled off.
You can then either stick the label on the bottle and cut with a craft knife/razorblade to conform with the
shape of the concave bottle-face, cutting off the barcode, which is aesthetically good, or stick to a thin backing paper and photocopy.Last edited by bongo; 10-09-2015 at 06:25 AM.
