Wade & Butcher 15/16
I realized that I hadn't really shown it off since I got it. I cleaned it up and bit and honed it up. It's right at 15/16 and hollow ground. No engravings or FBU marks. It was a bit tricky to shave with the other day. It's a very large blade. I'd love to get it restored more and get a brand new set of scales.

That is a large razor! I love the old Sheffield blades, but as you mentioned the largest ones are a bit difficult to manueve over my face. It looks like it is in nice condition.

You did a fantastic job on these two. I've been so busy at work and didn't have a chance to take pics and post them. I'm glad you took some good ones while you had the razors. As everyone knows I'm a lousy photographer, but I'll try to get some good ones of my Wade and Butcher and Frederick Reynolds.
Prodigy breathed new life into these razors. I can't talk him up enough! I've got a few others that I plan on sending him.
The Wade and Butcher shaves like a dream. The Frederick Reynolds is up next for a shave.Last edited by Raif79; 12-02-2015 at 06:17 PM.

Thanked: 228It looks pretty good as it is Ralf49. Unless it is loose, cracked or otherwise compromised someway, I would be happy as it is! As beautiful as that is, I do have problems shaving with anything over 7/8. My favorite size to shave with is 6/8. Smooth shaves to you!

The up side is that I can restore her and give her new horn scales. The down side is that I will probably (NOT return it. )
Nice find btw.

Thanked: 237Found some more pictures.
This was my first time using flame box elder burl, and I really, really like how it came out. Jealous they weren't for me haha.
