    Default Wade & Butcher 15/16

I realized that I hadn't really shown it off since I got it. I cleaned it up and bit and honed it up. It's right at 15/16 and hollow ground. No engravings or FBU marks. It was a bit tricky to shave with the other day. It's a very large blade. I'd love to get it restored more and get a brand new set of scales.

That is a large razor! I love the old Sheffield blades, but as you mentioned the largest ones are a bit difficult to manueve over my face. It looks like it is in nice condition.

The up side is that I can restore her and give her new horn scales. The down side is that I will probably (NOT return it. )

    Nice find btw.

It got real tricky under my nose. I can maneuver around my face like a surgeon with. 5/8 and even a 6/8. I love this old guy. It's heavy too.

You did a fantastic job on these two. I've been so busy at work and didn't have a chance to take pics and post them. I'm glad you took some good ones while you had the razors. As everyone knows I'm a lousy photographer, but I'll try to get some good ones of my Wade and Butcher and Frederick Reynolds.

Prodigy breathed new life into these razors. I can't talk him up enough! I've got a few others that I plan on sending him.

The Wade and Butcher shaves like a dream. The Frederick Reynolds is up next for a shave.

It looks pretty good as it is Ralf49. Unless it is loose, cracked or otherwise compromised someway, I would be happy as it is! As beautiful as that is, I do have problems shaving with anything over 7/8. My favorite size to shave with is 6/8. Smooth shaves to you!

So the OP pictures show the before, and then my pictures show the after. The scales are new, shaped as the original ones were. The wedge is flame box elder burl. The reynolds has flame box elder burl scales with a horn wedge. So they have the matching yin and yang theme.
