Thanked: 2284Found some blades today.
I was out and about today trying to get a hair cut and beard trim, but of course all the good Barbers were closed. So I did the next best thing and headed to the Antique market. In previous months the razor scene there has been fairly dry, but today there was a few to choose from. Here's what I walked away with.
A Joseph Elliot, Celebrated razor. I thought this blade should be a bit wedgier, but maybe it had been reground??
A Wester Bros, "Manganese" Steel, Anchor brand. Cell rot has started on this one, but I also noticed that it's never been honed.
A nice round point Thomas Turner, Cutlers to his majesty, Sheffield.
And a small 1915 Torrey, that has a bit of a smile which makes me smile
Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

I need to find an antique show like that, nice finds! In terms of straight razors, I have never found anything worth taking home...
