Santa Came Early
Looks like I really have to do this now, it looks scarier in person
Tired this week and a little under the weather and have to be in Kansas City next week so....
I am planning to do my right cheek Saturday after a good night's sleep and finish with my DE.
Wish me luck or maybe I should request prayers......"When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound,

Well. You cannot blame it on the razor, unless the whiskers disappear and you don't cut yourself!
One of the nicest new razors I have seen in a while!
Enjoy!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 237I teetered on buying that razor for quite some time. I just caved minutes ago and treated myself to an early Christmas/birthday present to myself. An iwasaki tamahagane... let's just hope my fiance doesn't find out...

I will eventually get a second with Ivory if my sport pans out, can't beat old time craftmanship.

Thanked: 3795Ummmmm, is this your first straight razor?
If so, then you are running a bit of a risk with that very nice razor. Personally I'd suggest starting with something a little less valuable as a first razor as that is the one that you will use to learn all of the creative ways to destroy a razor. Hint: they really do not like being dropped or banged against the sides of sinks or faucets!

Yes. I totally understand, oldblades offered me a razor to try but I did not feel comfortable with borrowing it and risk doing those things to it. I really like the looks of this razor and had to go with it. The non-round point and beauty will hopefully keep me slow and careful if not I willingly assume the repercussions...
