    Default Cased Pair

Through a short route, including a somewhat beads for land trade, I am the current caretaker of these elegant little razors. I began with a little information that came from the first sellers (related to the original owner) which said that the original owner was William R.P. Clark a San Francisco doctor. I've completed the first steps into finding out more about W.R.P.C.

He was born William Redwood Price Clark in 1869. He died in 1950. He graduated from Cooper Medical College, SF in 1899. CMC was a predecessor to Stanford Medicine. His graduating class contained 44 students. 11 of the graduating class were women. He was then a visiting physician at the City and County Hospital in SF 1901 to 1904.
Then Instructor in Medicine at Cooper Medical College, 1905 to 1911. There is a little more to his resume but I'll stop here.
I now have the option of investigating further but it will cost. So far everything is online for anyone.
I have thought a lot about the history of the razors I use, including the provenance of the razors. This is the first one (pair) with a clear record. I've already started embellishing the actual record with stuff like: WRPC received the pair for his graduation in 1899. He used them sparingly until the safety razor came along, as he preferred to be shaved in a barber shop.
Really, I'll stick with the facts. They are actually more fun.
Hmm, I wonder if his fathers initials were WRPC?

Fascinating story. It always intrigues me about the history of the old razors we use today.

The engraving on the tang looks like Joseph Rodgers.

Simply stunning Bill I think the back story makes them even more cooler. The history behind these fine instruments of who held and used these tools always intrigued me.
Not to mention, who gets a paired set of fine ivory razors with there own name on them?
Pity the previous Mr. Clark seemed much cooler. (Kidding )

Enjoy them bro., they are oh-so-sweet..

We like the history, but for me the irony is that we would prefer the caretakers of the old razors to keep their hands off of them. And strangely, these essentially NOS razors still show up, almost direct from the 19th century.
