Thanked: 013/16ths Wade and Butcher Frame back
This one has an etched blade showing a stagecoach pulled by horses and says made expressly for HW Carter. I made the scales from Western Australian Jarrah hardwood. When originally purchased the blade needed some rust taken off and a small chip honed out of the cutting edge.

The brass is a nice contrast, I don't think I have seen that before!

That is such a beauty! Thanks for sharing it. It looks like you were able to remove the rust without hurting the etch. Awesome job! I have a couple blades with the HW Carter etch but they aren't frame backs, they are near wedges. Mine are about 13/16 too but they are different from each other because one is 5.5 inches long without the "B arrow cross" and the other is 5.75 inches long and has the "B arrow cross". They are not in the best of shape but what's amazing is I found them both "in the wild" a year apart at the same local flea market. I know this thread is about the frame back version, but I thought I'd share because of the same etch.

Thanked: 0Mate you were unbelievable lucky to find those two blades. My frame back shaves beautifully. I live in Sydney, Australia and have never seen any straight razors at any flea market in this country and I have been looking for some time.
