Pike Dual Grit Razor Hone
I scored this Pike dual grit razor hone a few weeks ago for quite a bit...................a whopping $23.95 plus shipping which was total under $30
But wait, if you would have acted at the right time you could have won this one, & could have gotten two for $365.00 plus shipping because it was broken in two pieces! The listing said cracked........hmmmmm

Thanks buddy! What a pal.
It is crazy! If I'm correct here, it's the same one people pay big money for to sharpen axes. I got lucky. The box says Norton on mine but Norton made them for Pike or they made the Pike.............I can't remember just at the moment. Someone might chime in on it.

I kinda feel sorry for the guy that won it. He only has a feedback of (2) so he's new. He must have been lurking around on eBay & saw some of those going for a high price & his money was burning a hole in his pocket but if I had his money, I would have bought the 12" one a guy has had on there several times. This guys grandfather was a salesman for Norton.
I have a good sized Hindustan that was broken but I got it for cheap over a year ago. I CA'd it back together & my razor friend took it to his shop & lapped it on one of those lapping machines. After I CA'd it back together & let it cure for about a day or so, maybe less, I tried to break it apart but it took very well. It is a very fine, smooth stone & I haven't really used it but it would probably make a nice finisher. You can't even tell it was ever broken! I'll give it a test drive one of these days.
The buyer of that broken one could probably CA it back together & have a good hone but he paid way too much for it!
