    Default B J Eyre & co Chalenger

This one is headed my way, trying to determine a date, pre 1891 and I'm thinking possibly 1852-57 .With the broken scale I may have to get into my stash of Dall Sheep horn for this one.

Nice looking razor, got to love the shoulderless grind. There a very long history about the B J Eyre & co Sheffield, in England and in America as well. Especially in Bridgeport, Connecticut as Challenge razor works. That said in dating your razor Tweedale book states that the trademark Challenge was used since 1867.

Nice score! Looks like it will clean up really nice.
Just hoping that pitting/rust on the edge isn't too deep.

I get home a week from Monday and will get a better idea what I'm working with then. But my hopes are high that this one is salvageable.
