    Default 1850's?

I know the history of W. Revitt, but dating their individual razors is somewhat daunting. Found this fellow about three months ago. Bone scales have damage and need replacement (sigh), but would like to refurbish this completely. Any guessimation on the date of the Cockmill's would be appreciated too.

That bone scaled one looks pre 1820s to me. The other is later. Just IMHO, if the crack at the wedge end is tight, and there is no crack at the pivot, those scales do not need to be replaced. YMMV.

The unpictured scale is the problem, the crack, not so much.Name: DSCN6081.jpg

That is a bummer. I have one that is very similar. I left it as is, and it works for honing, stropping and shaving even with the piece broken off at the top.

It's a shame it cracked, but being so old, it's rarely not damaged. You could replace them with new bone scales matching the old ones?

I restored a Greaves that had a very similar blade to your Revitt but with horn scales that were slightly damaged. I was able to salvage the horn and the razor cleaned up pretty nicely:
