W&B Brass Frameback
Got this little beauty in today. No rust which is awesome but a few bug bites on the wedge end of the scales. So far all I've done is wash it with soap and water. Thinking about how far I want to go with it if anything at all. I do know I want to fix the scales. Just need to find the tutorial on fixing bug bites. If I do have to rescale it or take it apart to fix the scales Im going to replace the lead wedge with a brass one.
It has a nice etched scene on the front side for H. W. Carter. Found this snippet about them.
"The interesting thing is, H.W. Carter’s & Sons is an old company. Originally founded back in 1859 by Henry W. Carter in Lebanon, New Hampshire it soon after became widely regarded (especially in New England) for its overalls and workwear. Henry Carter himself became widely known as a showman and extravagant fellow, often marketing his company wildly throughout the Northeast."
i can't remember who posted it but someone posted a picture recently of a brass frame back and I just couldn't stop thinking about it. So I had to have one. I just had to... ;-)"The production of to many usefull things results in too many useless people."

I do agree with the others. However, a brass wedge would tie it together nicely...

I have a few brass framebacks. The W&B you see, a Joh Engstom, a W. Greaves & more I can't think of right now. Perhaps I should put them all in a certain area but for right now, most of my razors are together by maker except for my Ivory ones.

+1 on that Mike!
@Suticat
If you were referring to a Wade & Butcher frameback, I showed this one I have on The Butchered Blade a few weeks ago. I think it was that thread...........
This one is brass all the way from the spine to the tail.
Sorry, the reflection of my hand is in the first pic.Last edited by engine46; 03-05-2016 at 01:18 AM.
