    Default Koraat 8/8 'Dragonfly'

My Koraat 'Dragonfly' arrived today and it's a beast, it has a very nice heft to it!
It's an 8/8 near wedge Spanish point with Bog Oak scales and brass pins/spacers, might not be everyone's cup of tea but I love the finish, Ulrik produces amazing work! Super excited to give it a try.

Good looking straight razor. Clean lines and very well proportioned with a serious tip and heel that will require the shavers full attention to his task. I like it.

Your love affair with that razor won't fully begin until you shave with it!
The bond I have with my three razors has grown stronger over time.
Ulrik's work, as usual, is stunning.
    Congratulations and enjoy!!!

There is something about his razors, they just feel really good in your hand.

Thanks guys, shaved with it this morning and what a shave it was. Cut through my wiry whiskers with ease, I'm still in awe at the great craftsmanship and the size of this thing.

    Congratulations on your Koraat.
You will quickly find that it will be the blade you reach for with increasing frequency.
My own example has made all my other blades redundant.
Seriously they will be going to new homes except for two Friodur Wedge's, although the Friodur's are resting now.
I have stopped posting on shave of the day as I am only using the same razor all the time.
If I ever feel the need for another blade Koraat will at the top of the list.

That shouldn't stop you from posting on the SOTD. I like to read what shave products other people are using.
