Mid-late 1700s razor in shaped mottled horn scales
I picked this one up a little while ago. A mid-late 1700s razor from presumably a London maker, but I'm not certain. The scales are in an unusual shape that bulges in the middle - there are a number of examples of this shape from the period, often in tortoise.

There is something about those 1700's and early 1800's razors that has me drooling. I think it's their utter simplicity.

I've posted here an unusual new razor I got recently with similar looking scales (although these scales looks much better than mine)
