Wilson & Son
This is an interesting razor which I got without scales. A 7/8 near wedge with an arris spine. This picture is fresh off the 80 grit and the bevel set on a 1K Chosera. I have not touched the tang yet. Unfortunately someone else had been at this blade with some heavy abrasives before I got it and some of the details on the tang are near gone. The stamp was struck weak at one end but it seems to say Wilson & Son. It looks like there were half a dozen Wilsons' in Sheffield so I'm not certain which this one may belong too. There was an A. Wilson & Son and this may be an early stamp. Albert Wilson was the son of Charles also a razor maker so maybe from them.
Does anyone have any information on this maker? I'll post some pictures when the razor is done. I have some honey horn set aside for this one.

I really don't know what you have in mind for this one but if it were mine Black Horn comes to mind. That or Faux Ivory. Either would look fantastic.

Thanked: 4826I'm with Roger, and I will throw in very thin, beached camel bone, with collarless pinning. Although you have done some pretty nice honey horn. I look forward to the finished pictures. I'm a little envious as it appears to ALWAYS be sunny on your deck.
