    Default Wilson & Son

This is an interesting razor which I got without scales. A 7/8 near wedge with an arris spine. This picture is fresh off the 80 grit and the bevel set on a 1K Chosera. I have not touched the tang yet. Unfortunately someone else had been at this blade with some heavy abrasives before I got it and some of the details on the tang are near gone. The stamp was struck weak at one end but it seems to say Wilson & Son. It looks like there were half a dozen Wilsons' in Sheffield so I'm not certain which this one may belong too. There was an A. Wilson & Son and this may be an early stamp. Albert Wilson was the son of Charles also a razor maker so maybe from them.
Does anyone have any information on this maker? I'll post some pictures when the razor is done. I have some honey horn set aside for this one.

I really don't know what you have in mind for this one but if it were mine Black Horn comes to mind. That or Faux Ivory. Either would look fantastic.

I'm with Roger, and I will throw in very thin, beached camel bone, with collarless pinning. Although you have done some pretty nice honey horn. I look forward to the finished pictures. I'm a little envious as it appears to ALWAYS be sunny on your deck.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!
