New custom razor!
I have a friend who is a knife maker in the town where I live. I asked him last year about trying to make a straight, and he said he would give it a shot for me.
This is the result, I think he did an amazing job!! He put on scales made of stabilized sweet gum tree (a local trash tree lol) and the pattern in the wood is stunning!
He made the blade out of A2 and did some nice filework for me. I will give it a spin tomorrow after work

That's a pretty amazing looking razor for someone's first shot at razor making! I love the French point blade and the firework. The wood is killer.
