WB and the Witness
Got a couple the other day at the local antiques store. Guy said someoen came in a couple weeks before and bought most of them. Think I lucked out he missed the WB
Already posted a pic of what I am callign Big Bertha but here it is again. It`s a 15/16 wedge by far the largest straight I own.
No need for removal the blade just fell out
Also got this Taylor Witness has "The 1000" etched in the blade. Cool egyptian looking eye on the tang cant really see it in the pics but my phone isnt the best for this kind of thing.
Any info on either of them would be appreciated. I would especially like to have an idea how old the WB is.
There is a similar one in the SRP database but it is a 17/16, could be wear on mine I guess, not sure.

More info on the Eye Witness. I have a pair and they are quality razors.

I also have a Taylor Eyewitness. Handles a little differently, but shaves great.

OK -- Your thread "made" me pull out my Eyewitness and go at it today. Once I adjusted (again) to the slightly different grip angle, I got a super shave. I gave it a head start by stropping it a lot (it's been out of the rotation for a while) and then lathering with Castle-Forbes Cedarwood and Sandlewood, which is one of my favorites. After lathering up well, the Taylor just glided along, and the result was a 2 1/2 pass DFS, which is what I aim for usually. I love the older razors, and it was one of my first (thanks Tom)!
