Got this off eBay from a guy in Russia - Wade & Butcher
Just arrived in the mail today. Looks pretty clean, and in good condition.
It's a 5/8 wedge, or near wedge.
Anyone have a good idea of the age of this blade?
I know dating an antique blade can be a guessing game, but curious if someone out there has a good knowledge of W&B razors and might have an idea?
Thanks

The 5/8 near wedges are very nice daily shavers IMHO. Well balanced , nimble , easy to strop and hone. The larger blades generally get all the hype, but these smaller blades shave as well or better than their big brothers. Just not as sexy ! As yours has the Sheffield England stamp, it is of post 1890 production.
