Snagged another W&B in D.C.
I must have the luck of the Irish with me this trip. Went into a small antique store and found a very nice Wade & Butcher with the scales being of a stork with a fish in his mouth. Paid $18.00 for Straight. It looks like hell right now, but when I'm finished restoring it, it will look beautiful.

Very nice. It would look good just cleaned up to a usable state, with a bit of patina left to it also. Will wait for its debut.[emoji106]

If you are going to restore it, it would be nice to clean the blade up some yet leave some patina on it like Mike said. Some horn scales would be nice to make it look like it once did. It all depends on how far you want to go with it.

Just got back to San Antonio yesterday. Will take a close look at this and start a preliminary restoration this week. I do hope I can leave some of the patina and make it look pretty! However, I'll settle for an ugly razor that shaves well. It's all about performance and a smooth shave at this point, not cosmetics.

Here's one I cleaned up with Never-Dull.
Just wanted to remove the grundge, so not a lot of rubbing. But I started with a SE razor blade, and cut any active rust off first. Its a incredible American made shaver/piece of steel. And looked to have been in service for some time.
So I kept the patina, and made a set of scales from birds eye maple.
