Almost struck out at the Antiques Store
I went into a store today and asked about shaving gear. The owner said she was out of straight razors and showed me an empty vintage display box. She uses the box to display razors and had it marked NFS. I asked her if she would sell it and she originally said no, then shot me a price. I reminded her that she was having a 30% off sale and we settled on a fair price. I like it.

Very nice acquisition. Are you planning any type of restoration?

I have two boxes almost identical to that, one has the key & I got that one recently for a little over $20. I have others as well. I have one that has a Dubl Duck label pasted inside the lid. I believe many of these were salesman sample boxes that they could carry sample razors back in the day. You can see the key laying on top of the top left one, the box it belongs to.
I told myself I wasn't going to get anymore but nobody was bidding on this one & I was the only bidder & it was free shipping also. The key works in most of the others. The Dubl duck box didn't have the separators in it so I use it for razors in coffins.
