Thanked: 2284If I were there, that might have been possible. Like I said, he's doing me a favor so I don't want to put him out of his comfort zone.

I would want a look at the blades of the fourth from the top and the last razor. Both look like wedges so you would have some room to work with concerning rust. I saw a Wade and Butcher with the exact scales as the fourth razor in an antique store last year.

1st and 3rd
Never seen those scales before, seems neat. Some rust that could be an issue, but there appears to be a nice patina.
3rd has that nice weathered horn look and limited rust.
BUUUUTTTTTT #4 looks like some neat scales....

Thanked: 3215The fourth looks big in the scales, and generally faux tortoise is an indicator of upscale razor.
The Fifth looks like Ebony scales, Rodgers? And a fancy collar on the wedge pin.
But the 7th also look like fancy collars (original) and a good size width.
For Shure, the forth and probably the 5th, hoping it’s a Rodgers, in Ebony. And if there’s money left over the 7th one.
But man that’s a good lot, probably worth a trip, flip a couple and pay for a 5 day set.
Fun post.

Thanked: 2284Here's the 2 I went with, drum roll please......
4 and 7.
Clearly 4 is a sheffield, and probably the biggest there. 7 clearly has a barbers notch and has to be Sheffield or a nice American......
Turns out both are W&B, and both will be wedgey, just how I like em. Here's the photos he sent me of the 2.
Should maybe have looked at 3 and 5 as well. 3 very well could be a nice sheffield as well. slight sway back but double stabilizer and horn scales... could be a good one too.
5 I think is a 6/8 Solingen and 6.... could be American.
Be curious to see what Tom thinks.Last edited by HARRYWALLY; 08-24-2016 at 10:38 PM.
