Cannot go wrong with those! So is the round-point a 72 1/2?
Does the 1/2 denote a round point?

    Those are beautiful! Congrats.
Yes, Martin is right about the 1/2 meaning round point.

    Thanks Gents,
I was on the lookout for a clean 72 1/2 and this one did not disappoint. The second one is just as nice, no box or paper but can't cut whiskers with them so no worries.
There is another nice 72 on ebay right now with a pretty darn good BIN price if anyone has a hankering fer a Henckels. I can't look at it again, or we will be talking about triplets in this thread.

I was just looking at the paper that came with the 72 1/2. Figured I'd add a pic, paper feels old and crunchy.

It would be very interesting to know the date of manufacture and any history about these, or Henckels in general. I know we all love to talk razors, what do you know about the 72s?

They were made for the Japanese market. Yours are carbon steel, there are also stainless versions of the same model.
The 472 models have spine work that looks like that:

    Great score on those Henckels.

I have three and they're all great shavers!
