Hey Guys,
Here's the open comb I received this morning. It took 2 hours to clean up.
She is a 1930 New Gillette Thin Bar, Otto Roth Stamped. The handle may be original or it might be off a 1933 Exposition Model from the Chicago's world fair.
She is currently loaded with a Gillette 7 O'Clock for tomorrow morning.
Thank you for looking,,,,,

That's a cool Gillette!
Let us know how the open comb compares to other Gillettes, please.

I will,,, I have used several open combs before,,, I load with a mild blade, usually a Shark, but tomorrow I will give the Gillette 7 O'Clock a try.
A little slower, no pressure but the weight of the razor usually.

Nice work on that comb John.
Here's a J4 Lady's razor, last quarter 1964
As is when I got it. It was in a small lot of razors.

Thanked: 4206Great job John!
I have a sleeve of 7 am's as well. Good blade, not too aggressive, IMO.
Loaded them in the M'lord..."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Hey guys,
These past 2 weeks have been good for the open combs. This one needed no cleaning; only sanitized it. I'm not sure that it ever saw much use, no wear marks at all on it.
It's a 1931 Gillette Goodwill, at least the head is, quite possibly the handle came with it.
Thanks for looking,,,,
