    The old spice mug.

I think for the wet shavers that mug is a piece of history that belongs in everyones kit. For me it brings back memories. I am sure like many kids growing up in the 70s when Christmas time came around the old spice mug, soap and aftershave kit was standard gift for dads , always available on the cheap list of gifts at school with coffee cups, painted rocks, and other junk.

Once I was tall enough to see the top shelf in the bathroom I saw the 400 year supply of Old Spice that had acquired over the years, the back of the shelf was lined with OS aftershave and mugs . All gifts from the three of us kids over the years . I remember my old man shaving with bar soap not sure if he ever used the soaps, but we were making sure he never ran out. The mug and brush I always remember hearing the clang.

That was a lifetime ago, a million miles, deployments, kids and the usual progression of things... my father has been gone since 2004.
I saw one on ebay a few months back and snagged it on a whim.
I'll tell you, when I opened up the box and picked up that mug I was instantly choked up.

Yeah man, I like the mug.

Love the Old Spice Mug. I have like but it's not in the pristine condition that one is in. Mine was my Grandfather's and was well used. The writing is almost gone. I don't use it but keep it in the showcase along with his brushes and straight razors. Family heirlooms that I will pass down to my grandson someday.
