    Default Rockingham Wosty I.XL

Made another incredible find in the wilds today. This Wostenholm and Sons had me from the instant I saw it, but I didn't have my loupe with me, and did not realize that it was a Rockingham Works until I took it out later to drool on it. I cannot see any hone marks at all on the spine or the edge, and the box and scales are in fantastic condition. There is one slight, very shallow scratch on one scale, and no bugs m' lady. I am curious about the scallops cut into the tang as they intersect the stamping. 7/8 near wedge and 15/16 measuring the smile. The finish is pristine. I am sure I cashed in all my luck today, but I'll go back tomorrow and see. Photos aren't great because of the lighting, but it's late and I am waaay tired.

Razors like this and others really make me wonder where they have been and who had them all this time. When does the heirloom go from being passed down to being out in the street?
