    Default Care package from Texas.

Well yesterday after work I was expecting a razor care package from Sharptonn full of goodies. A package that came via Texas, to MikeB52 and then to me. You always know it's from Tom when you see the brake pad box. Here's what I got,

A razor that needs some cleaning up, pinned and honed. Shouldn't be a problem.
Marked Thessenbruck & Co. with cool scales.

Another razor that was in there, that's simply beautiful, is a Henckels 66 in these crazy silver scales. Tested the edge on my my arm and it's a lightsaber.

Next, Tom's well known Texas 2 band. Sent to me for an upcoming project.

Last, but not least, and the real icing on the cake.......

This extremely rare beauty will be making a tour around Canada. I'm in aw of this razor, it's amazingly beautiful in it's silver scales. Not only that, the way this thing was ground is just nuts. Really can't wait to use this one tomorrow. Look for it in my shave of the day.

Hopefully Tom can add some info to all these. Thanks again Tom for the amazing blades!
Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

You have no idea how hard it was not to peek inside there Andrew.. I smelled the rarity oozing out of that brake box...

Sunday Sotd should be sterling silver Sunday I think! Will be posting my rare loaner as well.

Those are gorgeous razors from a good egg, albeit slightly cracked...

That is a beautiful razor - and if I know Andrew well enough I'm sure he will make full use of it. There are not many times that I think of leaving England - but, occasionally, when I see what you colonials managed to hoard when the ties were severed, I do get a little envious that I can't share in the good fortune and, - more importantly - the good will that goes on between all of you.

By the way Andrew, that beautiful brush in Amboyna that you turned for me, ended up in Chicago as a present to another member who thinks it's fantastic.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

All good of you to say, Rob! My collection will be rolled-up, stuffed into totes soon for the duration of moving them and their display cases home to an empty room. I have 2 restored barber's chairs and other signage/paraphernalia with which to decorate the room as well. Shave-worthy and all, I felt a need to share some instead of packing them away so I sent several out to some of my oldest friends/workshop buddies. Just because a few happen to be from Canada, I beefed it up a bit.
Upon having all my proper razors at home, I can have more fun using, cleaning, stropping, and showing them at my home.
Until then, I am loaning out some until after the 1st of the year.

Stuff and people from all over our globe. Some of which have already been everywhere...Pretty cool!
