Thanks! Those were BIG retail establishments back then! Both have old-looking additions on the back as well.
Imagine the things moved through those stores...If those walls could talk!
Looking at the pics, lots of cool old buildings around.
Was a cool place full of activity back in the day, I suppose.

Thanked: 4249Tom, back then the city of Schenectady was a happening place to live and work, 30 to 40 thousands people were employed by General Electric. Today GE employs maybe 2 thousand if that, sad....

I reckon every town up there has some of that history, Martin. Lots down here do as well.
