Many of those "waterfall" pattern celluloid scales were prone to cell rot. Keep it out of sunlight. If you want to put it in a display box, make sure the glass pane is of the UV resistant type. If thats the "green" scale color, keep an eye out for browning. if the whole thing is already going brown, keep an eye out for rust specks. I make sure to leave a coating of RennWax on mine, just in case.
