    Default Big coticule

Was not fun to lap. Thin layer dished and convexed in subtle ways. Had to be so careful to not rock the stone during the initial lapping. I couldn't have gotten a better result. The outcome exceeded what I was expecting. Hardness plus using 600 grit helped me control it. Name: 20161020_133840.jpg

I have found (YMMV) that the Coticules with inclusions work very well and quickly compared to plain ones. Maybe I have used about twenty Coticules over the years.

I think there is more in play with coticules with certain types of inclusions or coloring. Ppl just think garnets, but quartz comes into play I think. The slime green ones have other factors in play as well I think

Bbw has sort of rusty colored streaks and glitters heavily. I suspect this is going to be fast going by how it has murdered all the sic based abrasives it has touched

Surprisingly it seems dead slow on water. Has crazy, skatey feeling under the blade. Hone feels hard and like a salad of textures but no harm is being done. Will be interesting to test properly. I need to dig up a really soft slurry stone

Can't get the video to load. In your latest post, are you talking about the bbw side? That looks closer to a slate/schisty color to me.... but I am on my phone.

Oops. I will fix that. No it is a natural combo. The coticule is hard and skatey, the bbw feels like.... bbw. Give me a second
