    Default W&B FBU

So got this off the bay could not resist even with the dinger. Figured this was my chance to have one at a price i can afford. Full 8/8ths ding is about 1/8 deep but i think with patience i can get it out and clean her up. Big smile on this guys face!

This looks a lot like one I got off the bay recently, it had a crack in the middle of the blade so I returned it but it didn't look like the seller had mentioned that in the relist. Check carefully in case.

Just curious, can any of you fellas put an approximate year with this razor? I have been looking and all the FBU I find have the circle B arrow and iron cross on the blade or the FBU is on the tang. I can not seem to find anything with blade markings like mine. I am assuming 1850- 1860's that is just a guess though. Thanks gents.

IMHO, the Celebrated Hollow Ground (that are actually something resembling the modern usage of hollow ground) FBUs were made between 1870-1890. Most of the Wade & Butcher razors I've seen with etching on the blade were made later.
