    Default A real Junker

I picked this one up a while ago, M. Junker from Geneva (Genève/Genf). Stylistically it has some nice idiosyncrasies compared to more familiar English blades. I was not able to turn up anything on the maker in my initial search, has anyone else seen more from here?

I have a "Junker, Geneve" which doesn't have the "M." on it. It has a more modern look, with a double shoulder grind and a square tip, but the blade is a bit heavy, being about a half hollow grind. The scales are some creamy white ivory and I believe original though I know the blade was de-pinned and polished up by the guy I got it from in trade.

More then likely made for "Maison Junker", a dealer in various cutlery in Geneva. Found some advertisement from 1900 and a few others mentions but mostly around that time.

It is a real junker, no good. Nomen est omen. Send it to me and I'll take care of it.

    BTW: nice find. Enjoy.
