New stones!!!
I've been getting a lot of new stones lately and I thought I would show them. There's still two more in the mail and I'll add them later. Some are known the others are not. I'm also posting these stones with pictures of other examples.
First stone is a simple thuringian with some odd gold spots on it.

The second stone I thought was a Schwedenstein but other members of the form have convinced me it's not. Still a Thuringian just not sure what kind.

I was told this was a Vosgiennes but I highly doubt it is now. The reason is being that both of the stones I have are very soft and the saw marks on the new one look anything but vintage. The closest thing I've seen to them is a vermont mottled slate. One of them came to me out of Illinois and the other Wisconsin. But your guess is as good as mine.
I also thought it was interesting that they were both the same thickness.

This final stone is a purple slate something. By the little research I have done there is apparently no way to truly tell what these purple stones are. there is what looks like a possible fossil in it and I also thought it was interesting how it was the exact same dimensions as my Vosgienne/vermont slate

It probably is a vosgienne... I can't say it with authority obviously but almost every time you see one for sale or it is found in the wild it is here in america... There are a LOT of high end hones forgotten to time in the northeast us
