One's preferences can change

I watched this one for about 25 seconds before bidding on it the other day then waited to be out bid for days. I know in the past i have favored the heavier blades and horn scales but a friend of mine turned me on to a nice 6/8 mappin webb with ivory scales and it looks like I've caught the fever. Now this one is not a mappin but it is a sheffield and looks like either a 11/16 or 6/8 . the scales have a crack in them at the wedge end but I do believe i can epoxy it where it will not spread. the blade looks like there is little were. anyway can't wait till it get's here.

Thanked: 4827:-) I'm sure that you will have it up and shaving quite easily. It looks good, the old holllows are not very hollow by today's standards. It looks quite promising.

You got a good deal on that one. I really wanted to place a bid on it but I'm trying to thin out my collection right now. It was difficult, but I was able to use some self control..... for today.

I think people forget that eBay really helps feed this hobby. I only sell a razor here and there but there are a lot of members here that I have met on eBay also. Plus, we are only a tiny fraction of the hobby as a whole. If people didn't buy and sell it could get pretty stagnant so BeJay you are just contributing to the hobby ensuring its continued success. Good job and carry on.
