My heart stopped when I was opening the blade and saw the blade etch. Then I noticed the chip..... Nooooooooo!!!! Fresh chip too, probably happened while on it's way to be sold at the antique store. I can tell you exactly how it happened too. Wooden home made scales that were too small. The blade was hanging out the bottom of the scales.......... ahhhhhh!

Still, I think removing the chip from it's 17/16 size will only reduce it to 8/8 in size. Someone already wanted to buy it from me on Instagram, but I think I may change my mind and keep it. I only try and buy perfect blades these days from antique stores, only cause I'm trying to thin the heard, but I may make an exception for this one.

Also found some Lignum lawn bowls with some nice ivory button inserts...... and you know where those will end up.

Whatcha think of the chip fellas?
