What can I say? My wife never ceases to amaze me. She obviously knows I'm into straight razor shaving but I never thought in a million years she would get me this! I've never talked with her about strops, didn't hint to her that I would like a new strop, or anything like that.

She took it upon herself to research and educate herself about strops in order to get me a good one. After I opened this gift she told me that, over the course of a couple weeks, she went on SRP a bunch of times and read up on threads about strops, and finally decided that she would get me a Kanayama! I couldn't believe my eyes when I unwrapped it. Merry Christmas gents!

My wife's parents gave me my gifts this morning. I'm very happy with these gifts. The strop is beautiful. I can't wait to try the razor tomorrow.
My wife gave me some tools so that can try my hand at pinning razors. [emoji1]
    Merry Christmas![emoji320][emoji319]

    Some wonderful presents Gents!

Mine where all opened early and were the "to me, from me" type.

A local artisans take on a Kamisori, which has been shown in a couple of SOTD pics as well as some Fine Aftershave.

I ordered the two new Martin De Candre soaps, and my wife had them wrapped and under the tree.

My wife made me these razor sheaths for Christmas

She says these are just prototypes to see if I like them - next batch will be embroidered with the names of the respective razors they hold.

Okay, not shaving related, but I've got to share this beauty. Monteverde Impressa in gun metal/red with medium nib. I've been looking around for this pen but I don't think they make it anymore. My wife found one and it looks even better in person then in the pics.Name: IMG_5102.jpg
