    These are 'modern grind' wedges. There also is a hollow-ground KaBar razor.
    I have one of those.

    They started out in Union City Georgia before moving to Olean.

    Cool razor! but your dating is wrong since the Ka-bar trademark was filed in 1923, nevertheless a fine sought after razor.

    Thanks for that info. The odd thing is even on Ka-Bars site there is no mention of straight razors or when they were produced.
    I can't remember where I found the info on the years the SR were produced. But from what I can remember this was one of the earlier model numbers

    Yes indeed, on that token the Spike trademark was given to Union in 1923.

    Actually on the Ka-Bar site, the company didn't take the name Ka-Bar until 1952.
    So the name Ka-Bar on the knives and razors was not technically the brand name I guess

    Union Cutlery, trademark Ka-Bar, in 52 because of popularity changed the name to Ka-Bar.
