Default Thought I'd try This one

    Name: Henckel 70 1-2.jpg
Views: 199
Size: 53.0 KB I've been watching this one for a while now and sent an offer today. They came back with a counter and I another counter and it was accepted. From the photos it's not been used. I want know until it gets here but it's a Henckel and 70 1/2 is a 5/8 I think. I've not tried one like this but it's a Henckel so it should shave great.

Round points are so 'vanilla' to look at compared to French or Spanish points but I love shaving with them. Nice catch.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I think you are correct in all of that. The little Henckels shave as well as the larger ones. You are going to like this one too.

I didn't even ask what the size was. I just assumed it was 5/8 because of the 70 1/2 number. Hope it's not smaller.

This one came today and from the way it looks it had never been honed. a little dirty but like new. I used a little sim i crome polish on it and it cleaned up perfect. I honed with 1-3-5-8-12K naniwa SS and finished with the suehiro 20K. stropped and then shaved . As suspected it did very good. just like a henckel should. It is a little over 5/8 but not quite 11/16. so i do believe it was basically new. This one may be a keeper.

To be honest it's just a little shinier. It is the basic 70 1/2 henckel . I did use tape when honing it so you really can't even see the edge but it does shave good. The coffin is almost toast though.
