    Default Straight Razor Display

Just got this finished and hung on the wall. 23 X 32 with a small shelf.
Will hold 24 Straights and 6 SE/DE Razors.
Backed with dark grey felt and super magnet put under the felt to hold the blades open.
I used gold colored Cup hooks. Cut off the ends of the hooks and put some wire shrink tubing on the tips of the hooks to cut down on scratches.
I pretty happy with it. Made it to hold twice as many razors then I own and I think the wife figured out why already. Ha. The bottle on the shelf is the Oil I use to coat my razors just to be safe.
    Hope you all like it.

BTW, The DE's and SE are my 4 Birth date razors, plus a 1912 Gem (about grand dad's birth date) and a Old Ball-end 1930's (About Dad's Birth date).

Excellent work on your display, but I must deduct 1 point for the added storage space giving away your RAD strategy to the wife.

I cant hide anything from the wife so I'll take the minus 1 point. ha.

Thanks guys. I thought about how to make this for a while, and checked out what others have made and stole some of there ideas. So its not all my idea. I wanted to have the blades open to show them off plus helping in the drying. I figure if a blade still has microscopic water still on it and you close it up in the scales your creating an issue.

I only oil my razors when they are put away and not used for a week or more. The one that I use for the week (as I use the same one for a week at a time to get to know it) don't get oiled. This display is in my radio room/Man Cave. Not in the bathroom. My grand-daughter cant get to any of them because of how high I have it mounted. So they are safe and the hospital bills should be without cut-off finger bills.

    Thanks for the reply's.

Nice work on the display! As your wife already knows, I am sure it will be full soon
