My coticules
I`m almost exclusively honing on coticules (apart from the very heavy work, for this I have a 800 Naniwa SS, which I fortunately does not have to use often). I would like to introduce my coticules:
This is my first, I have learned honing with this a few years ago : A Les Latneuses hybrid, 150 X 60 X 60 mm about 2000g - some day I will die, then this will be my gravestone
Here 2 small
An unknown vein, natural comination with BBW, about 100 X 40 mm
And this, a small rocket, about 80 X 30 mm petite blanche natural combi with rouge de salm, extremely fast

Here my new additions. The guy from whitch I bought these tell`s me, he has received these stones from his grandfather, who has collected Coticule during his lifetime. He has lived near Vielsalm and had a lot of contact with the mine operators and mine workers. The Petite Blanche is said to have come from the Old Rock Mine. You probably will not be able to determine whether this is true, but ultimately no matter (anyway, I do not care). Both stones are extremely fast, under running water but also good finishers.
petite blanche natural combi with rouge du salm about 150 X 60 mm
Les Latneuses about 120 X 65 mm
Thank`s for looking!

Beautiful collection congratulations!
The second unknown layer combo stone looks like my 'La Grise' from the side i.e. the two layers fading into each other...
If you visit the mine, the Eddy Merckx monument at Stockeu is not that far away (but you have surely already been there )

Thanked: 59I look at your coticules and compare them to my newer "Select" grade stones and want to just throw them in the garbage. I can only assume you have some real performers there.
Very nice, priceless!
