Thread: Riga Custom

Ebay seller Riga.
Hand forged straight razor.
Width of blade is 24.5 mm. approximately, length of blade is 72 mm. approximately.
The razor is made from Böhler R100 carbon steel. Black Micarta scales.
Shaves great. : )

These razors seem to be gaining popularity. They sure do look nice and now word is spreading that they are indeed great razors. Anyone who took the gamble early and got one for a good price should be glad they took the right gamble. It's always risky with these odd ducks.

Beautiful, the Riga "Ottoman" style....fantastic, and they are superb in my opinion.

As with the phrase, "shave ready", which is very subjective, I took mine and dropped it off with Val from the Gentleman's Den so he could put his edge on it, Val's edges are my favourite, didn't want to do myself on such a nice blade.

Congrats, that's a real beauty, be interested to know if you decide to put your own edge on it....

And Andrew, I agree, I posted the first one I received, the other one I went for is at Val's right now, I jumped in for a second right away, as I figure the prices won't last much longer.

I think I remember seeing these last year, and some of the final prices were under $200. Those guys are deserving of pompous nose they should be sporting now.
