    Found this Franz Swaty Marburg Austria hone for 5$ in an antique store, doesnt look like its been used much, if at all.
    Looks like a milk chocolate bar, very smooth

    You did well. That is the original Swaty location and they had good quality control there. Wash it and try it on a slightly dull razor. dry or with a bit of lather.

    Funny thing is the particular antique store has all shaving related merchandise in one place and all tools in another, the 2 places you would expect to find it. Instead it was over near the glass and crystal section, in a box with some bottle openers.
