    new , to me , straight . cant identify . help .
    Spanish , 1/2 hollow , 7/16 less than 4/8
    scales look like original , maybe bone ?

    Clean up the tang a little bit & tell us what the markings are that you can see.

    That should say Garantie Paris on the front side. Looks to be a number stamped on the back... a French blade.

    I cant see any other marks , none on tang or scales . makes since could be " garantie paris " as word under garantie has last letters , bis or ris .
    did they make blades less than 4/8 . interesting find as it had a Brookes & Crookes , Makers Sheffield , blade taped to it , old tape , been that way a while did the French use a particular scale material , they look original .
