Thanked: 41Brush find
Hi everybody,
I found this brush at the antiquarian yesterday. Its not the find of the century, for sure, but I wonder if anybody has a clue how hold it'd be, and how likely it is to not-suck? Is it a well-known model of yesteryear?
At first glance, it'd guess a synthetic bristle travel brush from the 70s.
In terms of waterproofing, I was thinking of removing the broken plastic-ish thing on the handle and just put varnish. Any better suggestions?

Almost looks like it was laminated wood... or could a finish peel off like that if it was immersed in water?

Thanked: 41The handle is made of wood with some kind of plastic covering it. Part of that plastic is broken and is showing the wood.
