Bob if Max is still putting his killer edges on his razors like mine had,, you wont need any hone work,, to this day I don't believe ive had a finer edge, plus Max,s grind is one of the best enjoy , Tc

Yeah, not to detract from Max's incredible craftsmanship at ALL! Just responding to another post about coral. Honestly, none of us can judge. Many on here have used "natural materials" one way or another, including me. Hey, I have an entire rifle cabinet (now a converted china cabinet, but that's another story) made out of hand-picked Honduras Mahogany that is now under CITES treaty. And many of our members have made some beautiful works out of pre-ban ivory-remember Bill/Pixelfixed's incredible brushes and his lovable rants about the ban? Some of the rosewood, ebony and other tropical hardwoods I use are undoubtedly also endangered from over-harvesting (even if I got them from a woodworker friend's cut-offs that were decades old).

We all have an impact on this world in both big and small ways-no getting around it.

Bottom line-kudos to Max for another gorgeous creation. If I hadn't spent all my play money recently, I was very tempted by the recent secondhand "Sonora" razor of his that came up in our BST for an unreal price. I would love to have one of his blades in Paua abalone scales with the MOP inlays.

    Enjoy that beautiful razor!
